CURRICULUM

Sport

"Physical education is about pupils learning about themselves: their capabilities, their potential and their limitations. It is the foundation of all sports participation, but it goes beyond the individual and understanding themselves - it's learning about how to work with and to respect others."
Lucy Pearson, English cricketer and teacher.

Full use is made of our close proximity to Wandsworth Park. Seasonal team games skills are taught in football, rugby, hockey, netball, cricket, rounders, gym and athletics. Both boys and girls participate in all games. Every Summer Term the whole school joins in the traditional Sports Day activities, after a family picnic lunch.

During the year staff will arrange matches with other local schools. Parents will be notified in advance so that they are given the opportunity to attend such fixtures.

Children are also encouraged to take advantage of some of the after-school sports clubs, which are run each term.
