for boys and girls aged 4-11

UNIFORM

School uniform is compulsory for all pupils and all items are available from Perry Uniform, except for shoes and ballet clothes. Substitutes are not accepted other than for the first few days of the Autumn Term when we recognise that certain items – especially shoes – may be temporarily unobtainable or if a child joins us at short notice during the academic year. Parents and staff are asked to ensure that pupils are correctly dressed. Pupils are encouraged to take pride in their appearance.

The easiest way to order your uniform is via the supplier’s web site online at www.perryuniform.co.ukBy selecting the ‘Find your school’ option and locating the Hurlingham School logo you can view our uniform list and purchase items.

Alternatively you can telephone Perry Uniform on 0113 236 2095.  This line is manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Should you need to discuss sizing or have a customer service enquiry you can speak to one of their specially trained uniform advisors between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.

The easiest way to size your uniform is by using Perry’s unique online sizing utility called i-Size.  This is particularly helpful as different suppliers of individual items may use different sizing specifications.  With a secure password protected registration facility, you can enter your child’s measurements and place a ‘Quick Order’.  From these measurements, they will assess the right size for your child.

Perry Uniform will supply an information pack to all new parents, and they will visit the school for a day in June for measuring up.
Parents who wish to take advantage of this service should contact Perry to make an appointment.

As the start of the academic year is always a very busy time for uniform suppliers we recommend that you place your orders no later than 30th June in order to allow plenty of time to receive your order in advance of the start of the Autumn term in September.

Summer uniform is worn during the first half of the Autumn Term and for the whole of the Summer Term. Winter uniform is worn during the second half of the Autumn Term and for the whole of the Spring Term.

All children need a blazer, and these should be worn to school as often as possible, although the grey school duffel coat may be more appropriate on cold days.  Blazers must be worn for certain events such as the Carol Service and for individual school photographs.

Children wear their cap/beret to and from school every day either with their Blazer, Duffel Coat or Raincoat.  Raincoats must be kept in school throughout the year.

It is essential that all items of school clothing and footwear be named clearly. Name tapes can be ordered from Perry Uniform who also have a name taping service so that uniform arrives named and ready to wear.

All pupils with shoulder length hair or longer must have it tied back for school. Hair accessories should be suitable e.g. navy, brown, white or school summer dress fabric.

Jewellery is not permitted with the exception of watches and plain stud earrings. Earrings will need to be removed or covered in tape for all sport.

Uniform lists are available from the School Office or may be downloaded here:
