Leading Private School in Putney

Hurlingham School is an independent prep school in Putney serving children aged 4-11 from Fulham, Barnes, Southfields to Wimbledon. Discover what makes Hurlingham, more than just a school.

More Than Just A School

Hurlingham is ‘more than just a school’. For over 75 years, our co-educational prep school has fostered personal growth of each child, providing a solid framework to encourage our pupils, ages 4-11, to become agile thinkers, empowered to reach their potential.

Our private primary school located on Putney Bridge Road in the heart of South West London  and proudly serves families from Fulham to Barnes and Southfields to Wimbledon.

We provide pupils from Reception through to Year 6 academic rigour in a thriving, inspiring community where they develop a love of learning not through pressure, but through an experiential, joyful, and a holistic approach preparing them for life beyond the classroom.
Our private day nursery for children aged 2 and up, is equally focussed on enrichment of each child’s learning and developmental experience.
Our approach to education is one that goes beyond academics to truly enrich every aspect of a child’s development. Unlike traditional models that focus solely on results, Hurlingham fosters curiosity, confidence, and compassion.
By focusing on holistic development, academic excellence and deep-rooted community connections, Hurlingham is not just an outstanding school.

It is a place where children thrive, families belong, and learning is truly enriched in every sense of the word.
