Inspections

All schools are required to be inspected by His Majesty’s Schools Inspectorate OFSTED or the ISI (The Independent Schools Inspectorate) can carry these out, usually in a three year cycle. 

These inspections will check and assess not only learning and development of pupils, but also safety, safeguarding, and all statutory administrative processes that are required by the Department for Education. A failure in any of these areas is a serious contravention and schools can be subject to closure, temporary or permanent. 

It is therefore very reassuring that, again, Hurlingham has passed a recent ISI inspection in March 2025 with outstanding results and a rare, coveted ‘Significant Strength’ for our Early Years Provision. The Inspection team were particularly struck by the emotional development of our youngest learners.

We are proud to share the findings of our most recent Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) inspection, a report that recognises the outstanding quality of education and care at Hurlingham across every area of school life.

This recognition sits at the heart of what makes Hurlingham special. From the moment children walk through our doors, they are known, supported and inspired. The report affirms not just the quality of our teaching and curriculum, but the strength of our culture, a place where high standards, deep care and forward-thinking practice combine to create a truly exceptional education.

Our most recent inspection took place in March 2025 and we are delighted to have been awarded excellent in all categories. Naturally, we will use this strong validation to build on our strengths and continuously develop. We remain determined to do all we can in the best interests of our pupils and the entire school community.
