Hurlingham Enrichment
At Hurlingham, we believe that education should prepare children for life beyond academic achievements.
Our Enrichment curriculum is a bold and bespoke part of our holistic approach to learning – a programme purposefully designed to develop autonomy, encourage authenticity, and equip our pupils with the skills and mindset needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.
Built around four carefully curated pillars, Enrichment builds progressively over four years from Year 3 to Year 6, following on from our rich Outdoor Learning provision in the Lower School.
Each pillar empowers pupils to explore the world – and themselves – more deeply:
Outdoor Learning |
| Fosters resilience, teamwork and a love of the natural world through immersive experiences both onsite and offsite in Wandsworth Park and Wimbledon Common. |
How to Think |
| Nurtures metacognition and critical, creative and divergent thinking – helping children understand how they learn, solve problems, and approach challenges with curiosity and confidence. |
How to Make a Difference |
| Teaches children about activism, leadership and social responsibility. From debating and public speaking to campaigning and community initiatives, pupils learn that their voice matters – and how to use it. |
How to Live |
| Offers vital life skills, from enterprise and financial literacy to wellbeing and nutrition – including the fascinating link between the gut and the brain. |
Enrichment at Hurlingham isn’t about tests or ticking boxes. It’s about purpose, curiosity, and growth. These weekly lessons are research-led, varied, and highly engaging – giving children space to explore, reflect, and discover what really matters to them.
Through Enrichment, we aim to develop not only knowledgeable learners, but compassionate, independent thinkers ready to shape their world with confidence, creativity and care.
