Hurlingham truly is more than just a school. Our vibrant community is an important part of Hurlingham and we pride ourselves on our diverse and welcoming blend of families. A key pillar of our Hurlingham ethos is belonging to our wider community and modelling behaviour for our children to instil understanding and appreciation for wider cultures, faiths, beliefs and backgrounds.

Almost half (47%) of our families speak a language other than English at home.

Ethnicity at Hurlingham is varied, reflecting our local community and our international families on relocation.

It is our privilege to share in such a variety of religions and faiths with our families and we ensure everyone at Hurlingham learns about and is considerate of other religions and faiths.

Student VISA Applications

We are able to support a CAS Student Visa, which can be applied for once an offer of place has been accepted, acceptance fee paid - we can then begin the application.  You can find more information here: https://www.gov.uk/child-study-visa

Admissions Process

While our usual entry point is in September - the start of the Autumn Term for those joining us in Reception, although we have pupils joining at various times throughout the year in other cohorts (these are ‘Occasional Places’).

Our admissions process for Occasional Places is:

• Contact Admissions to check for spaces when you expect to move.
• A visit and tour or video call for international applicants
• Application - complete a Registration Form and fee (£100) via OpenApply.  School or other reports are submitted at this time.
• Taster Visit - we have prospective pupils visit us for a taster day.  
  For our international applicants, we are able to arrange a video call with our Deputy Heads in lieu of an assessment visit. 
  There is no assessment for entry into our Reception class.
  We are able to arrange a second day visit for your child once you are in the UK and it is our expectation that having pupils spend time with their prospective classmates and getting a feel for life of the school will help inform their own decision about the school.
• Offer - an offer of place is made following the taster visit (or call with our Deputy Head).
• Acceptance - in order to accept the place, both parents sign the online offer and payment of the non-refundable acceptance fee is made.
• At this point, the school is able to apply for the CAS* (Certificate of Studies) to support a family’s Student Visa Application.

*We require certain information to be provided to us in order to make this application, and any false or misleading information is required to be reported to the UK Immigration Authorities.
