School Fees

From 1 January 2025 private school fees became subject to VAT at 20%.  Unless otherwise stated, all fees and charges listed here are inclusive of VAT where applicable.

We review fee levels once a year and parents are notified of any changes prior to the commencement of the Summer Term. Revised fees take effect in the Autumn Term.

Hurlingham subscribes to a Group Personal Accident Insurance policy, which is compulsory for all pupils. This will pay compensation on a no-fault basis in the event of an accident, and pupils are covered both inside and outside school throughout their time of being enrolled at Hurlingham. The termly premium for this is £5 per pupil.

Families with three or more children are automatically entitled to a 20% school fees discount for their third and subsequent children.

A non-refundable registration fee of £75 is charged to process each application for a place. This will be increased to £100 with effect from 23 April 2025.

When you accept a place for your child, a non-refundable £2,000 acceptance fee is required.

Before your child starts at Hurlingham, you must also pay a holding deposit equivalent to one term’s fees (based on the advertised fees at the time of acceptance). This holding deposit is made up of the £2,000 acceptance fee plus an additional balance, which will be requested one term before your child’s start date.

The school will retain the holding deposit and return it (without interest) when your child leaves Hurlingham, provided that the required notice has been given. If your child leaves at the end of Year 6, no notice is required.

We require one full term’s notice in writing to the Head on or before the first day of term of the intended withdrawal of a pupil. Failing this, fees for the following term are payable in lieu of notice. No exceptions can be made to this rule.
